    Cotton cord?

    I want to make my own tinder tubes and need the most important component, the cotton rope or cord. Any sources? I've checked every hardware store around here and I can only find cotton with a synthetic core. 100% cotton rope or cord is tough to find in 7/32" or 1/4" diameter...

    How much of a "purist" are you when it comes to making your own gear? Do you use only traditional tools and methods, with nothing "modern" ever coming into contact with your project?
