    Bees wax

    I'd be interested to find out your technique for sealing that bag. I used beeswax to "seal" the seams of an oil tanned bag I made and I just rubbed it on a tightly stitched seam on both sides and the edges. I traded the bag before I got to try it out, so I'm not sure if my "sealing" did any good...

    Carved Whitetail Antler

    Thanks everyone. Making this one was simple. Put it in a padded vise and drilled the center with a 5/15 bit and used a Dremel High Speed Cutter to bore it out. Used a triangular shaped file, a small one to do all of the carving. No big deal if you use a pencil to draw the lines you intend to...

    I'm new here and new to the homemade patch notion. I'm just now really getting into a purer form of traditional muzzleloading, but have shot for years but always with pre-cut patches. What is the ideal thickness for loading patches?
