Spare antlers lying around, so I sawed 'em up. Here are the first results of the wreckage.

Yep, buttons, knife handles and scales, small mallets, toggles, small handles for vent picks and pin pushers, etc. Never throw anything away is my motto.
 
I posted once on the forum about making and using antlers for buttons, I got chastized for saying such a thing, as it was not historically accurate or correct, and was told "No longhunter would have ever done that". I use em anyway.
