    Davis Double Set Trigger

The sear arm is bent downward so I am going to assume that the trigger was not inlet far enough to catch the sear arm.

    Davis Double Set Trigger

Zonie, The lock will cock just fine. I don't have to set the trigger in order to cock it. Just to fire it.

    Davis Double Set Trigger

I just took the lock off and examined the trigger. When I set the rear trigger and pulled the front trigger, the rear trigger bar jumps up and trips the sear arm on the lock. Also noticed that when this occurred the front trigger bar barely moves and would never make contact with the sear arm.

    Davis Double Set Trigger

Zonie, The front trigger definately has a trigger bar that rises when you squeeze the trigger. What would cause it to engage by setting the rear? One would think that the front would trip the sear also. The sear arm on the lock has a downward bend to it also. Also noticed that if you release the...

    Davis Double Set Trigger

I recently bought a Poor Boy with a Davis Double Set Trigger. Appears to be the Small Double Set Double Knife 0004 model. My question is the rear must be set in order to fire the rifle. If you don't set the rear the front has no contact with the sear at all. Is this normal for this trigger or is...

    Shooting Low

It's a 54 cal Ed Rayl barrel. I started with 80gr 2F and went down to 70gr with the same results. You think I need to go lower on the charge?

    Shooting Low

25 was just a starting point. I will try 50 and see where it is hitting before filing the sight down.

    Shooting Low

I picked up a new Flintlock Saturday and shot it out to 25yds and it is shooting about three inches low at 25yds. The front sight is a blade about .275-.300 high. Question is do I need to file the front down a little to bring the point of aim up a bit? Thanks

    Touch Hole

Have not had a chance to shoot the rifle yet maybe this weekend. To answer an earlier reply it does have a liner it is just filed or milled close to the barrel. If you could see it in person you can see the round outline of a liner. You can kinda see it on the the picture, bottom right corner.

    Touch Hole

Just bought this rifle new from Tip Curtis at Dixons on Friday and the touch hole is probably 1/16" in size or less. I am not an expert but do these come small like this so you can drill it to your favorite size, or is this correct. The last one I had was probably 1/8" in size. I can see where...

    Small Siler

Thinking about buying a 50cal with a 36" green mtn. barrel and a small Siler lock. Will this have enough spark to fire quickly. The rifle is new and never even been spark tested. If anyone has a small Siler on a 50 cal I would like to hear what you think about it.

    Renegade Front Sight

What is the best way to remove and install a new front sight on a T/C Renegade? Does anyone make a sight tool for an octagon barrel? Thanks.

    Renegade

I got a 50 cal. Renegade and I was wanting to know what is an accurate load for this rifle. It has a 1:48 twist barrel. I have pyrodex RS and 2F Goex ready to go. I will only be shooting round balls currently if you have a favorite and accurate load please share.
