New to me vent liner, your opinion please
I got a nwtg as no liner straight drilled 5/64th, as well as a 45 penn rifle, converted cap to flint, no inner or outter cones. They fire 100% of the time if pan flashes... now getting pan to flash as you all know is NOT 100%. But i always run pick in flash hole after loaded, prior to priming...- Intosomthin

Best Brand of Black Powder
When I first began muzzle loaders (80s) bp wasnt hard to come by, but pyrodex was the rage. After using both, i decided no to pyrodex. Bp burns much more reliably in all weather. Even wet bp will burn... not so with pyro...- Intosomthin

Just a reminder about using BP only in a BP gun...
I will never understand why smokeless powder n black powder can be confused... guess is just somthin i learned along the way. My dad niether hunt nor fished. Learned by books n class of woods. I used to reload ammo at a time. But i never mistook smokeless for black powder. Education dun come...- Intosomthin

Another "No" to muzzleloader hunting....
I was goin to leave this thread ... but just had too, yuh kno? I bet us flintlock/ traditional ( no offense cap lock i have em too) users can shoot better than any shotgun user with iron sights, and a few of you my brothers with good vision... prolly shoot better n scopes... we depend on...- Intosomthin

Save The Drum And Nipple
Forgive me felt, I converted a .45 traditions penn rifle from cap to flint. Not historic, didnt fire half the time, fires ever time now, and not for sale, so i dont think I wrecked any history, just fixed a janky rifle to serve me.
