    Guidance on "Traditional Production Flintlock"

Thanks for the recommendations. Here is where I am at right now based upon the posted and PMed responses. All of you have offered up great advice and information. The semi-custom flintlock option, either finished or "in the white," is a value at $650-$750 with some options when you consider that...

    Guidance on "Traditional Production Flintlock"

I figure that this post will more than likely open me up to all kinds of direct and indirect fire, but I figure that it is worth the risk to gain some insight on this topic. #11 capper??

Regulis, Recommend that you tighten up the spring gripping jaw on your Allen capper. Simply bend it a little bit towards the inside of the capper. This will tighten it up and it will work reliably. This is also a good way to make #11 cappers handle #10 caps reliably. Regards, Sky-Dogg

Finally going to shoot it, what else do I need?

Birdwatcher, Looked over your list and didn't see a worm or ball puller. Now you could probably go years without needing the ball puller, but who knows. The worm is different. I can't count the number of times that a patch has decided to remain in the barrel instead of coming back up on the...

    parker hale whitworth rifle

Sir, I am not currently into Whitworth muskets. However, I own a couple of first generation Parker Hale (English built) Enfield replicas. Knowing what I have learned (the hard way) about the difference between the English vs Italian Parker Hale 1853 Enfield replicas, I would readily acquire...
