Hey all! Here's a new one, 1084 steel with curly maple scales satined with aqua fortis... that stuff is the best for maple, its beautiful! Its around 8 inches overall and a very good cutter. I gave it to a friend of mine, I'll admit I had a hard time letting it go  . So what do you think?

My Latest Knife... Your opinions please

Hey all! This is my latest knife, please tell me what you think! The blade is 1/8th inch 1084 with a Scandi ground bevel with a polished satin finish. Scales are redwood burl finished with boiled linseed oil and paste wax. Big thanks to Wick Elbery for his heat treat recipe!

    lawn mower blade knives?

I have not personally done this, but have seen other people do this and say it works great! I'd heat treat and temper them. The main issue I see is if the blade was twisted like some are, might require a forge to beat it straight.

    A Couple New Patch Knives

It isn't bent, the picture is taken at an angle and has an egg looking shape. The bolsters don't line up, I said that in my post, that I'm not happy with that. I've learned my lesson, that was my first time trying that design. Now I'm wiser:)

    A Couple New Patch Knives

Thavks! I'm trying to do primitive and more modern stuff, have a balance. As for my hands, I'm trying to he them at the right angle to eliminate the glare, or else you can't see anything:)

A couple new knives, please tell me what you think!

Thanks! I'm a larger knife fan too, between 7-8 inches is my preference. A folder is a big task for a first couple of knives, can you post pics please? Haha, no kidding. I've never made a LR, but have made stocks from scratch, and it's painstaking:).
