Great job Mike! I remember how excited I was when I first got my mucket several years ago, and then how disapointed I was when I figured out it was way to late period for my persona. :cursing: Great gear! :applause:

    Damascus kife finished.

Finally done! The blade is 15n20 and 1095 I think. The billet came from Tim Billups, a hobby knife maker like myself. I used stock removal for this blade, I really prefer to forge to shape, but I was afraid to screw something up! :blah: The handle is deer antler with a brass bolster and a...

    Etching Damascus

Yea, the paper towel is probly why it messed up. I used it because I didn't have enough to submerge the blade in it and thought the towel would kind of hold it on. :youcrazy: I will give the mustard a try! Thanks!

    Knife question W/ pic

I've reworked a few like that. the thin blade makes an excellent little camp/chore knife. I've even filleted crappie with a knife like that. Very versatile blade.

    CVA Frontier conversion question

Not from percussion to flint. From .50 rifled to .58 smooth. My youngest son has a frontier rifle. (he's 11) We like to do some tree rat hunting and wants to use his front stuffer instead of his 410. Cool! I was going to buy another barrel and punch it out to .580 for him to use as a smoothie...
