    MVT musket

I'm just curious about your reason for "questioning the materials used"? There have been no problems with the metalurgy of Indian muskets.

    Black Rough Bore

Tell us more about your pair of pistols. I've run across older Pedersoli brass barreled Kentucky style pistols a few times, but can't remember any other commonly available commercial ones. Try shooting them smooth by using dry brown paper as patching instead of greased cloth. You know, the kind...

    Opinion on Repro Muskets

Mike: Great job on re-doing Rick's pistol. I especially like the mellow color of the brass. The 1979 date code on the barrel is not when the barrel was made. It is a date code that corresponds to a letter in a file somewhere that would have given approval by the Indian Ministry of Defense that...

    Double Barrel percussion pistol

I'm not replying to anyone in particular here, as I really don't know anyone here yet. I thought you'd be interested in seeing picture of an original double barreled howdah pistol that I have here. It isn't nearly as massive as the Pedersoli, and I'm wondering if there is a historical precedent...

    Another new guy from NH

Don, we are in Charlestown, which is just south of Claremont, over on the NH/VT line. We were in Laconia a week ago for a different hobby LOL.

    Another new guy from NH

I suppose I should add that I'm into French and Indian War reenacting, have done my share of RevWar reenacting, and also done the requisite Fur Trade rendezvous stuff. If it goes bang, I've probably shot one. Cap-n-ball revolvers, caplock and flintlock rifles, flint smoothbores, cannons...

    Another new guy from NH

Howdy all, My name is Pete, I'm new here. I'm not new to muzzleloading though, built my first "kit gun" when I was a teenager a couple of decades ago, since then my collection has gotten a little out of hand. I am an NRA black powder instructor, and am immersed in flintlocks all day long...

    DOUBLE BARREL FLINTLOCK!!!

The price on these will be $399, which is more than other pistols, but you have to remember there are twice the locks and twice the barrels. The protoype shown in the photos is in a plane headed for the US as I type this, and if nothing goes wrong at customs the pistol will get it's first...

    Matchlock Pistol

The trick with an early style stock like that is to hold it back by the ball at the butt end. It replicates the feel of a sword when held in a defensive "parry" position. When you are holding it down by the ball, you should be able to lift up the trigger-bar with your index finger.
