Now if they will just make it in a rock lock, I could drive all the thread counters wild. They would have a connipsion fit.

I love short double barrels! Shotgun, pistol, whatever. That sure is a beaut. I've been looking hard at the MVTC version (more in my price range :shake: ), but this Pedersoli one is just gorgeous. :hatsoff:

I got the MTV one about 2 months ago and Ive had nothing but fun when everyone isnt crowding around. It'll shoot anything well enough for me and those 9" barrels make a mess out of anything (about a 36 spread at 15 yars) and its not bad with 600 balls if ya keep it up close. Im thinking that "made in India" is a bunch of ....till I get this to blow! :rotf: Fred :hatsoff:

Can someone help me with the MTVC pistol. (Maybe a pic or link) I do not know what MTV means. If it is made in India I might know what it is.

Chrisiaan it is about the same as the PED gun but in 20/62 smoothbore only, I'd have to see the Ped in hand to tell how much better it is BUT at 350 for the MTV I'm as happy as can be, it does all I can want rom it. FRED :hatsoff:

Thanks for the info. I'm with you now. I have seen and shot both. The MVT is a fine shooter but quality is worlds apart. Pedersoli is much heavier and grip needs some getting used to. Here is a pic of both for comparisson, with a Kit Corsair. I'm looking for locks for the Corsair. Can someone please help me.

It is a .44 Made by AC (could be Armi Chappia) I got this one from Euroarms in Brescia Italy. Will appreciate it, Fred.

I'm not replying to anyone in particular here, as I really don't know anyone here yet.

I thought you'd be interested in seeing picture of an original double barreled howdah pistol that I have here. It isn't nearly as massive as the Pedersoli, and I'm wondering if there is a historical precedent for reproducing it in such a large size.

My original came from a police auction in Rajasthan a couple of years ago. The buttcap is some kind of horn, the barrels are .56 cal smoothbore (one of which was still loaded with powder). The barrels are 8 1/4" long.

In order to guess at the original weight, you need to round it up a percent or two to account for the drying of wood over the past century, but as it is today, the gun weighs 2.4 lb.

It is not in as rough a shape as the photos would have you believe, but it is grungy and dirty from storage. Underneath the grunge is a fancy striped wood of something indigenous to South Asia that I am not familiar with. This is not an English made gun, as there are no proof marks and the triggerguard finial is made in a very ethnic style. I'll post the pics in a minute...

Thanks for the pics Buspete. That is a fine looking original. The grip looks very comfortable.
