    Ballistol

Actually, 'diller tastes a lot like fine-grained, high grade pork. Besides, it comes with it's own built-in half shell! :rotf: And then there's Armadillo Eggs! http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2012/05/armadillo-eggs-stuffed-jalapenos-grilling-snacks.html

    Texas Management Buck - 4X3

In this area I like to go to the Chaparral WMA southwest of Cotulla, below San Antonio. I don't know what's in their water, but those bucks grow some crazy pokers on top of their noggins. :wink...

    Ballistol

I smile at all the stuff posted about Ballistol and it's odor. I think my two favorites are.... "Ballistol: Or How To Make Your Gun Smell Like Moldy Underpants" "If you like the smell of liqueurs like Chartreuse, Jagermeister and Anisette or black jelly beans or Biscochito cookies...you'll...

You can end up a trophy here in Texas doing that to someone! Don't think 30 minutes of wait time is necessary...rolling and smoking a Bugler quirley is about a 5 to 6 minute job! :haha:

    "Crude" Conversions?

I recall seeing the metal piece locked in the jaws of a flint hammer to act as a impact source for a percussion drum conversion. I've looked all over but can't find a photo and just don't recall a specific name for the type or it's inventor to Google up for better description or photo. Sorry...

    "Crude" Conversions?

There are several methods of converting flintlock to percussion. Just using military muskets as an example , there are three basic types used by the armories and private contractors. 1. "French Style" conversion or "drum & nipple" conversion. All external lock parts were removed and threaded...

    CVA Kentucky Rifle

Some early Mountain Rifles and a few one-piece Kentucky rifles had USA marked barrels, usually Sharon or Douglas. Most of CVA's production will be marked "Made in Spain". Later when Deer Creek took over they completed some of the production with unmarked barrels of US construction. How much...

    Wal-Mart Flannel?

Not specifically a T-shirt, but the funniest tag I ever saw was..."100% miscellaneous odd lots of undetermined fiber content". What? Is that the lint from 10,000 navels? :shocked2:  :haha:

    CVA Kentucky Rifle

Looks like those for sale run around that; kits about the same as well. They're not fancy but back in the old days they put a lot of Bambis in the freezer. 75 grains of FFg was about their limit but a lot of guys then did well with a slightly lesser speed load with 50 grains of FFFg...got within...
