    What in the underlug?

@smokeum54 I ended up replacing with a staple made from a nail. Still going strong.

    Loading from the pouch?

All the above covers it pretty well. Especially the keep it simple part. The only thing I'll add is if you are hunting you will want a grease patch. If you wipe between shots use spit. If it's practical, use a loading block. It's also a good idea to have your ramrod sized so that when...

    What in the underlug?

Had the same thing happen to a gpr. You can solder it back on. I think the factory did some sort of weld. I tried to remove one once with heat and couldn't release it. Maybe from gradual creeping corrosion.

    forearm strengthening pro bed 2000

Self bowyer's use a sealant called "Massie finish". So named because it was popularized by a fellow named Massie. It's made by mixing Dev Con slow cure 2 ton epoxy with acetone or denatured alcohol. It's a good sealant but I'm not sure about strengthening.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

I was kinda wondering about that. I chose white because in the last match I shot the target was mostly black and the backboard is black celotex. A sight picture was near impossible. I had to form a sight picture on the brown berm below the backboard and then try to transport the sight picture...

Did you call that boy in? Nice elk! Now you are giving away the "secret" ML elk season. 🤣

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

So far today I I've coned another barrel. This one is my TC 45 barrel that has done very well in local matches. I'm coning it enough to make it easier to start a tight combo. This gun has never cut patches but I did do the old thumb round off trick after coning. Before after 445 ball...

    Traditions Kentucky Rifle Deluxe Version

I have a theory but absolutely no evidence. 😀 I think it's to simplify shipping.

    Traditions Kentucky Rifle Deluxe Version

It's floppy but I never thought the pull to be heavy. You can take the floppy out by ordering the single trigger for the Frontier rifle. It has a return spring. It might be a drop in but if not I think the return spring is a fit. The lock with bridle makes the upgrade worthwhile

Anyone know where you can still find these in stock?

@Weavedreamer I found these. Why are things always in the last place you look? 🥸 If memory serves, I bought these in about 1979. The labels are gone so I can't identify the maker. Not sure how many there are. I used a few on a pistol that had a musket nipple.

    2024/2025 Squirrel Hunting Thread...........

Happens to me all the time. Grandsons always need something and once I hand it to them I never see it again. It's OK. They will eventually get it all so ........ Our squirrel season opened on the first. I and a grandson will probably give it a go on Thursday. Don't know what he'll be...
