    CVA Trigger Replacement

Any part you need can be had, including the complete lock and trigger group. Most CVA and Traditions parts will interchange if you know what your doing. Deercreek products and ebay are two sources. The Log Cabin shop has a lot of new stock Traditions parts that should work . Sounds like ...

    Well I will tell ya...

I have to chase the chickens off the range every now and then and the ducks laugh at me when I pull a shot, but the RO is an old blind farm dog so he doesn't give me to much grief. ;) Never shot at public range with other people around. Use to have a membership to a range and I'd go in the...

    Traditions Kentuckey pistol build complete

Couldn't wait and had some time today so like a kid I was off. Fired 5 shots from a sandbag rest at 10 yards. Load was 25 gr. Sheutzen 3F, .015" pillow ticking prelubed patch, and hand cast .490" RB. I'm pretty satisfied with the group, just need to make a taller front sight to bring it down to...

    Traditions Kentuckey pistol build complete

Just finished my "winter" project which was a Traditions Kentuckey flintlock pistol. These kits seem to be out of stock a lot so when I got a "in stock" alert from Muzzleloaders.com back in January, I jumped on it. Price was reasonable and I had it at my door in three days. Being familiar with...

Kalthoff 30-Shot Flintlock: The First Repeating Firearm Used in War (1659)

Found this to be very interesting. I doubt engineers of today could design and produce this gun, yet it was done almost 400 years ago with hand tools. Simply amazing.

    Shooting Bench

I built one like this bench. It is portable, stable, and only uses one 4x8 sheet of ply wood. I don't move mine so I glued all the tennions . Very solid and stable. Plans can be found online. Here's a link to a video showing one being set up.

Hope no fake news. Read TC was sold by S&W.

Sadly, yes. Wouldn't be surprised if they sub it out to an overseas company and slap the T/C logo on it.

For the Want of a Wire Coat Hanger

For future reference, if you're going to use a brush use one with the brush locked to the threaded head. Anything is possible but this style has a extremely low risk of getting stuck when used with a quality steel range rod.

    Bore brushing.

I prefer the nylon bristle brushes but have and do use bronze brushes on a dirty or rough bore. I always use the type that lock the brush to the treaded end. With anything in life its a "no risk , no reward" situation. If the proper brushes , proper rod, and proper method are used, the risk of...
