    Fowler kicking my tail

.570 rbs should be a dream in loading in a 20 guage. I am still waiting on my kibler 20g to arrive and I will definitely try some .570 rbs.

What caliber and style for you?

I just finished up on my woods runner in 45cal and it is one sweet handling rifle. A custom Dicker style is real eye catcher but some seriously more money.

    Johnny says it right!

    I bought myself another gift.

I have that same flint wallet that I bought from him almost 20 years ago. It held up real nice and I still use it. That bag will last several lifetimes.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

I shot ten more rbs out of my newly assembled kibler woods runner in .45cal. So far 29 rbs without knapping the original flint and no misfires. It is the shortest flinter I own and it handles really nice. Very comfortable to shoot too!

    so hard to wait

What happens to the velvet if you harvest a buck in velvet? Does it dry up and fall off? I always wondered.

    3F in a .54?

Sounds real simple but I am definitely going to try this. When shooting modern unmentionables, I would lay the rifle on the rest and my left hand was up by my shoulder. I was getting good groups. But with my ml bp rifles, this method was not getting me the desired groups. I can’t explain...

I took my Artillery training at Ft. Sill, OK. I spent a few dollars visiting the bars in Lawton.

Am I the only one who doesn’t really care for carving on a rifle stock?

Unless you want a copy of a historical flintlock, I would rather have a plain stock. I definitely am not the person that would try to carve anything.

Trade guns were made to trade with the Indians.

    Dark Finish on standard maple

Anyone have any experience with Laurel Mountain Ebony stain?

    Dark Finish on standard maple

So you do the walnut stain first and then do the iron nitrate, or the iron nitrate first then the walnut stain. I’m pretty sure I know what you meant, but I just want to be sure. Thanks!

    Dark Finish on standard maple

I am currently working on a kibler woods runner with the standard maple stock. I did two coats of iron nitrate and then stained with cherry stain. It turned out pretty nice. I am waiting on a kibler Fowler also with the standard maple and I want the finish to be very dark, about the color of...

    WITHDRAWN Screw for Pedersoli Enfield

I sent VTI a email. They did not list the Enfield rifle on their list of Pedersoli products. I got my fingers crossed. Thanks for your reply.
