    Range Rod Questions

A couple of years back, Walmart had muzzleloader cleaning kits and at the end of the season they clearanced them. I picked up a couple. I use one as a range rod. 3 brass rod sections with a nice aluminum handle. Plus, it breaks down to fit into any bag I have. Cheap too - the kits were...

    Primitive scent control?

Every once in a while, I find myself starting to buy the hype, then I think of my own experiences. Back in college once, I was in a tree stand with the breeze blowing in my face. A deer walked up from directly behind me and could not have cared less if I was there or not. If I had dropped my...

    Ramrod retaining spring?

The problem with most of them is that they are just too strong. You can bend them some to make them easier to work with. I am missing a couple and need to round them up. It just isn't that high on the list of todos. I have to finish the Squirrel rifle I have first.

    Another TC question

Thanks. It seems to me that my .45 barrel has deeper rifling. Maybe I should put them together and compare. Maybe I should just get rid of the Renegade and forget about it.

    Another TC question

I haven't shot it. I have a couple of CVA Mountain rifles, an Investarm Hawken, a CVA Bobcat and this Renegade in .50. I shoot one of the Mountain rifles and the Investarm. This TC is just taking up space. I had thought of selling it, but when I was under the impression that it was shot out...

    Another TC question

I saw something posted a few days ago that I had not heard of. Was there a time when TC had shallower rifling than they currently produce? The reason that I ask is that I have a TC Renegade which has shallow rifling. I thought it was just that worn, but now I wonder. The lands still look...

    Vet's horn

STUNNING!! Man, I should make some requests! I have a couple of old horns that I was going to work to try my hand at it. It is blindingly obvious that they will look like a deranged baboon with a hatchet went at them compared to this work...

    Cabela's Kit Question

Been a while since I looked at one, but I think it is so that you can eliminate slop in the fit of the hook into the tang.

    One shot, One kill

I know that CVA and Traditions have a spring that mounts on the front lock screw that holds the ramrod in place. It seems to work well.

    Misfire...

Lucas, I am with you on that one. The first time I plunged the barrel of my front stuffer into a bucket of soapy water, I was screaming inside because it was so counter intuitive to me. It works though! Best of luck!
