    Is there some way of adjusting the half **** hammer position? On one of the 54 Hawken's the hammer is too low to cap without pulling back the hammer then easing it down, not my favourite way of capping

    Just got back from the range my 1:20 White 50 cal. Mtn carbine finally came around with the Maxi hunters 350 gr. I would suggest a long bullet in a fast twist any shorter or round balls were all over the place. For reference the Maxi hunter is .756 long

    The crack on the WMC is identical to the one on mine possibly when stress is applied from the sides the recoil impact causes the grain to separate? The cracks follow the grain in the wood I think my next project will be bedding my Hawkens for prevention, I use JB weld cheap insurance.

    I do some are from the 1890's the two on the left are sealed I tried some of ones without labels old but still worked cap sizes came in a lot of different sizes #8-#14 some are split on the sides I was told it was so they could used on any size nipple

    TC ramrods come with 10-32 I thread the other end 8-32 for my tee handle, handy for pulling a bullet in the field
