    My crude little flint wallet

Nothing crude about that. Serves the purpose well, and looks historically correct .

    GEEZER SHOOT

We're doing a lot of Geezer Shoots ourselves here in Michigan. Geezerhood is starting to be a bit of a problem....lol

Questions about all the knives and axes

Okay, Nock, because of your response I now realize I'm using the wrong term for what I had in mind. You are right: a drop point was probably not uncommon....even some of my "historical" knives have a bit of a drop point. I NOW know that what I had in mind are CLIP blades, which I mistakenly...

A Black Powder Hunting Tale of Woe and Misery

Maybe you accidently double-patched while loading? I've done that, and it's very difficult to get the ball down the bore.

Questions about all the knives and axes

My opinion: Stay away from knives with hilts and drop points. If you want to see some period correct knives, go to Wick Ellerbe's page on the internet. Also, I've read that knives with antler handles were a rarity in the 1700's. They look cool and seem to be popular and you may want to use one...

Lowes painters tarp to shelter/ tent conversion

Cheap painters' tarps or drop cloths are the reenactor's friend. You can waterproof them like you did or just use them when winter camping to keep snow off of things (has to be cold enough, though). We use them extensively for de-farbing our campsite. BEST and WORST Actor in a Role of Ours?

I saw this when it was new in Germany. It was dubbed in German. The Sioux were speaking German. The Cavalry were speaking German. Faye Dunaway was moaning and speaking German when she was "in flagrante delicto".........hahahaha It was an interesting experience. I recommend it.

    Full **** in stand

Most of the time when I'm hunting it is quite cold and I'm wearing gloves. I find that when I cover the lock and lock area with my left gloved hand while moving the hammer from half- to full-****, the sound is greatly dampened by the glove.

    Coyote Skull

Some people just have no appreciation for the finer things in life. Like my wife always says: "You bring home the damndest things....".

    Lucky today, the deer wasn't...

That gun is what they call a "brush buster".

Who says gun shows are bad?

Very nice. Could be a better inletting job than the original!

    casting wrinkly balls

A brass hammer and a rawhide mallet are overkill. A stout wooden dowel or the sawed-off piece of an old hammer handle does the job nicely.

    Drone photos

    It's going to be useful.

REPAIR on RIFLING - old original austrian Jaeger rifle

That is a beautiful OLD Jaeger rifle, and a spectacular antique! I would be very careful shooting it so as not to damage it and its value. Be careful with your loads!

    Sprue orientation

There's a simple solution for people who get annoyed by seeing things discussed ad infinatum and repeated questions. It's called "Don't read it!" That way you won't feel the need to make snide remarks about it.
