    I have read where some people have glued hard steel on to frizzens to make them spark. I have 2 that need working on, and am thinking about gluing on hardened steel on mine. Has any one done this, and what steel do/did get used.

    My 1.25 in cannon loves American Pioneer. Have not tried in in my other 2 cannons yet, can not live fire 3 at one time, ok i could. I use BP now because i get some given to me at a event i do, also finding AP.

    I can get all the suet i want free, i take a road trip to Iowa to a local meat locker, they can not sell it, all you have to do is tell them you want it for animal feed, and you get GOOD beef kidney as well.

    Brass shot!

    If we cast shot in lead why not brass, it melts at a dull red. Now i can not wait for it to warm up and try making some shot in brass. Yes i have done some casting in the past, so know how to handle liquid brass.

    Black powder is safe to move, i carry up to 50 pouds, in my 8x16 foot trailer. And even keep it in the tent, not next to the wood stove, at reactments.

    Not a bp gun, but i did have a remington 870 shotgun, that i had bust on me, lost 2 inches of the end of the muzzle. Was told by a gunsmith that there may have been a metaltic blockedge in the muzzle. I DONT WANT ever to have that happen agin.

    Use to stick my .44 colt in my belt at civil war events, but now have a holster for it, my single shot .45 also fits. I load all six as it has notch between the nipples, need all six some times when at a event, as a group of us will go and arrest captain Jack Sparrow.

    I cast lead balls for my cannons, and use what scrap lead i can get. they weigh 6 or 8oz each depending on bore size. wheel weights are getting harder to find.
