1996 build date Pietta 1860 wedge screw

bpflint2007. I'm told that the threads are all metric and should not be an issue for you if you purchased a screw kit for your 96 Pietta. I'm sure others here will chime in as well.

Just bought my 1st BPR 1858 Pietta Remington Army 44 cal 8" barrel steel frame

$295????!!! Geez that is a good deal. I paid $519 at Midway for a Taylor/Uberti Antiqued finish 1858 back in the spring of 2021! Glad you got that one and hope you enjoy and I bet you will. ;)

Thank you bptactical for clarifying the "defarbed meaning. Would you say that "defarbed" is to make it more authentic? Thanks. :thumb:

    51 Navy Pieta

Congratulations on your Navy. I've heard often that Pietta grips are not always the best fit. That isn't uncommon. Also, the first time you remove the barrel can be a very tight fit even my Uberti Walker was a little tough the first few times. Newer Pietta's have a very nice plus that a Uberti...

Taylor vs. cimarron vs. Traditions vs. Pietta?

Hey way down there Coinneach. I can't speak on that subject personally as I have never bought a Cimarron. I have heard they do slick them up but I truly don't know myself. A lot of folks swear by the quality of Cimarron. Hope things are well down there. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you...
