    Old can of Pyrodex

I have a couple plastic jugs of Pyro (1 RS and 1 P) that I opened 20 years ago but never finished off. I haven't tried them in a gun, but the powders in both look the same as they did when new and burn in open air the same way. Yours is obviously a good bit older, but who knows? Pour some out...

Keep your faith in God, but keep your powder dry.

I haven't been to the annual Ren Fest in a couple decades, and it was mostly sword and armor types the last time, but there may be some folks involved who do early muzzleloader stuff. I assume you've looked into it since you know the 2021 fest was cancelled, but just in case: Click Here . :thumb:

Region maps are LOUSED UP !

The most conclusive proof thus far that Earth is not flat is that if it were cats would have pushed everything off the edge by now. :thumb: 😄

    Exploded some steel today

The first pic really threw me off. It seems weird to see a guy shooting at steel animal silhouettes out in the woods without a broken fidget spinner attached to his hat...😄

    Heads up Grafs.com

I've seen places charge $20 hazmat. Graf's $12.50 is reasonable in comparison. :thumb:

Region maps are LOUSED UP !

Look at 5 different maps of the various areas of the USA and you will likely get 5 different sets of maps. Take my area, for example. Some maps show the southwest as AZ, NM, TX, and OK, while other maps variously include CA, NV, UT, and CO. You get the idea. I'm sure there are Texans who...

Do any shops charge actual shipping anymore?

This is one of the reasons my BP has always come from Graf and Sons. Shipping is a fixed $9.95 and hazmat is a paltry (compared to many other places) $12.50, whether 5 lbs or 25 lbs.

I should never be allowed around tools

Reminds me of comedian Steven Wright's saying: "If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried." 😄

Welcome from Arizona. You are beginning your muzzleloading journey in style with that Kibler, for sure. :thumb:

    New Englander..

That's the exact opposite of one of my favorite hunting outfits. I wore an M81 top and chocolate chip pants many times. Works great down here in the Sonoran desert.

Made a powder measure out of an Antler. Need more antlers

I used a drill on the one above. 5/16" for the main hole and 3/8" to sort of "cone" the opening to make it easier to pour powder into it from the horn or flask.

Made a powder measure out of an Antler. Need more antlers

A little 35 grainer I made for one of my pistols.

    L&R RPL-05

I'd leave it as is, but I'm weird that way... 😄 Seeing as how where you live is way more humid than where I live, I'd say throw some cold bluing on it. You should get a nice dark matte black finish when done. You can certainly polish it up if you want, but I think castings that are finished...

    The temptation!

That was my first thought, but looking at the pics more closely it looks like sort of a combo service station/hardware store. It appears to be in a rural area, so they may have some sporting goods (hunting/fishing) as well. :dunno:

    Real or not?

There are a couple articles online showing this gun. As someone pointed out in one of the comment sections, there isn't even a vent in the barrel (visible in other pics online). My guess would be some sort of artistic piece.

Lymans Great Plains Rifle Opening and Testing....

Mark, you left a new flintlock in the box since Christmas last year? You could make a fortune writing a book on willpower. 😄
