What is a good method to straighten a 24" barrel under rib?

I've soldered on bunches of these. You actually want it bowed in the center because when you clamp it down, it keeps the ends of the rib tight to the barrel.

You can get both the breech plug wrench and vise jaws from Rice Barrel Co.

    Nock Volley Gun

The kit was about like most kits - a lot of work to correct issues with the pre-carved stock. If you don't like to polish metal, this kit is not for you. Fitting the lock to the breech block was another challenge. Metal had to be removed from both the lock and barrel to get it to fit. Drilling...

    Nock Volley Gun

Yep, it's finished in the white. There was a lot of polishing of the barrels and the solder seams. The barrels are soldered together so it would not work too well to try to brown or blue them.

    Making Your Own Gunsmithing Tools

Boggs Tool does not make this tool. It is made by Robert Boggs. He is a member of the ALR forum. He makes several really high quality tools geared toward muzzleloading. I have bought several of his tools. A great guy to deal with.

    TC Hawken stock re-finish

Instead of a chemical stripper, I use a utility knife blade as a scraper. It peels the finish right off.

    Single set triggers

Liston Rice (www.buckridgeflintlocks.com/shop) makes a really nice single set trigger. I've used these on several rifles. With some careful filing, these can be set up so that you can **** the lock before setting the trigger.

Diving into a plank. My Chisels and files

I highly recommend the Shinto rasp shown in Larry (Omaha) post. It's my go to rasp now for working flat surfaces. It takes off wood faster than any rasp I've ever used. You can work it any direction. Woodcraft sells them.

Tumbling round ball to smooth sprue cut

I roll them between two heavy glass plates. Accuracy is just as good as loading sprue up.
