    I recently began using mink oil for my patch lube and I really like it. Patched balls are easy to seat and a dozen or more shots between swabbing. Only problem I see is that there seems to be a buildup of the mink oil in the bore which I see it when swabbing after cleaning. I’m concerned...

    This was my first and only "build/assemble/whatever" - CVA .45 cal. Kentucky

    I, too, built one with a flintlock in the 70’s. I just recently started back shooting it after 40 years and I smile every time I shoot it. These old Kentucky’s are just fun.

    Vent hole liner

    I’ve been shooting a flintlock with a vent hole that measures 3/32”. Is this too large? When I load, some of my ff powder is pushed into the pan. If I need a liner, do any of you Alabama boys know of anyone in north Alabama who can do this job? Thx, Gville
