    Citristrip and wood stocks…

Per multiple recommendations here I finally tried Citristrip (twice) on a musket stock in a attempt to remove BLO. Dunno if it really worked well (already used another stripper brand twice, scrapped, sanded, solvents, etc) but after a scraping each time I think I am finally at bare wood...

FOR SALE HC BALL (short) STARTER

Another happy customer as mine just arrived. .5” brass rod, nicely concave on the ball end, with the length rod and wood I requested. Feels real solid. Best Product Quality/$ Value purchase that I’ve had in a long long while. Does the OP have a website as a business card came with the order?

Questions on a rifle I saw for sale

Well. Guess I misread something. Thought Dixie was the seller.

    Greased paper cartridges....why?

Since this thread is back, and I am a little smarter then I was a year ago, what is a good pre-made store bought lube I can heat and dip cartridges in? Presumably something not too greasy at room temperature. I see the recipe above (and thank you) but I am unfortunately not single and try to...

    Tighter the better for PRB?

Currently using the “historical” size for my balls but measuring my exact bore on all guns, and adjusting cartridge size, is in my plans. Thanks!

    Tighter the better for PRB?

    Nice shooting!

    Tighter the better for PRB?

After a couple years of shooting military paper cartridges I am curious how accurate I can be with smoothbores(!) using patched round ball so I bought some ball at the manufacturer recommended size for PRB who even includes a recommended patch thickness. I’m sure there must be a dozen...

Price Increase coming for Pedersoli Firearms

That is what they told me direct in a email last May/June. Was originally set for 2022 (which is why I contacted them to check the status) but was advised the project was moved to 2023. They even bought an original Baker for the design process. Fingers crossed!

Questions on a rifle I saw for sale

Call Dixie. They are a straight up company and if they wanna make a sale have them send you bore pics. Just don’t buy a buff sling from them.

    Guns International - Scam Secure?

I bought from Guns International once a couple years ago. Basically its a place for people or businesses to list items. In my case it was a antique and auction house in the state of Kentucky. Did all my research on the business and they were quite legit and I contacted them directly and made the...

Sounds like a scam, please advise

I live about 8 miles from a Cabelas. In my experience there is no surprise what my price is going to be on non- ammunition products. Its whatever MSRP is. Cabelas don’t seem to deviate from the manufacturer’s standard price. Probably the same for ammo but since its always up and down its harder...

Sounds like a scam, please advise

“Just a reminder, selling or buying caps or powder on here is strongly frowned upon.” While there are periods they seem scarce as hen’s teeth on the market I was wondering why I NEVER see them here. Why is it discouraged?

    Best Reassembly Oil

And another vote for Ballistol. If I should do a reassemble lube with a heavy hand (a habit I’m trying to break) I don’t have to worry about it softening the wood.

    Veteran Arms…shipping refund?

And another response from Veterans on a Saturday. The “missing” items were a mix-up and will be on their way. Veteran Arms is on it if you have any issues.

    Video channels for muzzleloading?

Thank you both. And yes. Black Powder TV was the one I was forgetting.

    Video channels for muzzleloading?

Just discovered another black powder “video channel” - to go along with BP Maniac, Duellist1954, and one other I forget the name of - called Folk Firearm Collective. Any others I am missing? And they certainly don’t have to be on YT.

Alina here, from Folk Firearms Collective

And subscribed. Just can’t have enough muzzleloader stuff.

Price Increase coming for Pedersoli Firearms

But everything's bigger down under right? :) But yea except for the upcoming Pedersoli Baker I am pretty much done buying - I got plenty to keep me busy. And I’ll wait to see the price increase before I get too excited. And while I hate padding Dixie and Pedersoli’s bank account (I’ve yet to see...

    Veteran Arms…shipping refund?

Okay. Received a response from Veterans. Normally the overcharges for shipping are refunded shortly after the initial charge/order but the person who does that has been out and it will be taken care of. Nice to get a positive and prompt answer!

    Veteran Arms…shipping refund?

Shouldn’t be but twice in a row has me wondering…
