Best Reassembly Oil

What do people use for lube when reassembling their BP wheelguns?

I've been using a general "synthetic gun oil" and not sure it's the best thing.

I do use only a tiny bit.

I use a cotton cleaning patch and spread a thin film of Ballistol over the parts and surfaces of the revolver. I've noticed that I don't get gummed up black powder residue when I break down my revolvers and single shot pistols when cleaning them after a shooting session. Additionally, I've noticed that Ballistol is great for removing surface rust on new firearms when factory sprayed oils have failed during shipment. Also, it is safe on wood grips as it is a biodegradable product. Ballistol advertises their product for cleaning, lubrication and preserving and the product appears to live up to their claim. If I should do a reassemble lube with a heavy hand (a habit I’m trying to break) I don’t have to worry about it softening the wood.

Mobil1 grease + packing the frame. ( cap guns or "unmentionables" !!)

3 in 1 oil just a drop where needed and then wiped over with a q-tip, use to use singer sewing machine oil but its getting hard to find in my area. Anyone use pharmacy grade sweet oil.

I quit using Singer Oil when I couldn't find it and found a spray can of Rem Oil

No, it's good from roughly -40° to 300°. With an action shield, you'll probably never need to clean the action parts again!

Ordinary lithium complex high-temperature disc brake wheel bearing grease that I bought at NAPA 35 years ago (I'm almost out of it), or newer calcium sulfonate based marine boat trailer wheel bearing grease.

Don’t use too much REM Oil as it has a tendency to coagulate in time. I purchased an unmentionable from a man that let it accumulate- had to soak in Brake-Kleen to loosen up
