Only had a 56 smooth bore myself. The big ones would really be interesting. All sorts of options.

    28 gauge Turkey loads

Distance would have to be real close to cap a turkey using a light load of no 6 shot. Very tight load to get enough shot for a head shot. They really should make muzzleloader ball legal like it was in the beginning.

    T/C Patriot grip?

I extended grip by 3/4" to get more hold room. I like the smooth grip but it did not work for me until I extended it. 3/4" piece of walnut smooth on both side. Two holes for screws countersunk to pull parts together. Do not forget to predrill into pistol grip so you don't split grip...

    Broken stock

I would think contact the manufacturer and send it to them for a little overhaul and checkover. That break was a severe collision with something.

Am I ready to shoot my Kentucky pistol when I get it put together?

You will enjoy the shooting but it is so important to learn all you can from a good source to do it safely. I see round ball and patch mentioned. My experience has only been with round ball and patch. I would not shoot anything else in a pistol as that is what they are made to shoot. just saying.
