    Swiss, German, Goex?

@Stone do you *know* that the place you found has powder? Like you’ve been there and seen it? I ask because a few months ago I thought I had found somewhere with Retumbo a friend had been looking for. My LGS had just got a shipment of Hodgdon so I wasn’t all that surprised to see another Hodgdon...

    Please help

For the OP, adding to my original post, I am talking about something like this from Cabelas. It should give you the additional length you need to get the ball puller down to the ball. Then as the others have said, add lube! When I did it I had to stand on the T-handle and pull hard on the...

    Please help

Is your ramrod threaded at both ends? I have a T shaped short starter that can be used to extend the ramrod to make cleaning and ball pulling easier. One might just give you the extra length you need. Plus it makes it a ton easier to actually screw the ball puller into the ball. Other than that...

New to the forum and Muzzleloading and I need some help with a Rifle decision.

I am still pretty new to this too (at least in the sense of the actual amount of time I have been able to dedicate to flintlock shooting), but I have learned the answers to a a couple of your questions: 1) 50 cal is fine (but I kinda’ wish mine was a 54). 2) Barrel length doesn’t really matter...

    Hello from Scotland...

Welcome from PA. I’m a fairly recent import from the UK myself. I shoot all sorts of things, but the flintlocks are just about the most satisfying as far as firearms go. Dare I ask your cap badge?

SOLD 2nd Pattern Miroku Brown Bess

Ok, so a few people have come in at more or less the same time with acceptable offers. I have told you if you have given me an acceptable offer! I think the fairest thing for me to do is to say first of you I hear back from I will accept - I will then let the others know and change this...

SOLD 2nd Pattern Miroku Brown Bess

A second pattern "Brown Bess" musket manufactured by Miroku of Japan. Most of you will will already know, Miroku are the primary manufacturer of contemporary Browning and Winchester firearms. Sadly I don't think they make these any more but the quality is very high. The Lock is marked "Tower"...

    New Anglo-American member

My grandfather was a Royal Engineer officer in the British liaison HQ to the 1st Polish Armd Division in 1944. It was the pinnacle of his wartime service, and he had the most profound impact on every aspect of my life. It’s a tribute to him, and every hard-as-a-coffin-nail Polish soldier he...
