Hi Gents, thanks for having me here!

Names Stu, after a 16 year career in the Army (Infantry) i now work as an Armourer/Propman for a well known time travelling tv show with a Scottish flavour...

Despite being a lifelong shooter and hunter this has been my introduction into the world of black powder and flintlocks and i am developing a not so mild obsession with this, and all things 1757-1773 which is the time period we are "working in" just now.

So what started as "just a job" has me making loading boards, making powder horns look "better" and have just ordered a load of leather and parts to start stitching up some sheaths and bags etc.

I will no doubt be picking peoples brains for relevant knowledge down the line,

Oh and already you guys have me fixing to import a Kibler kit once i work out the legal requirements!

Cheers guys.
Achhhhh, welcome from the new world! I'm pretty sure you can find out anything you need to know here. There's tons of reenactors here who will discuss exacting details with you at nauseum. You'll become the most historically correct prop man in the business. I did four years in the infantry back in the 70s, I'm sure it hasn't changed much. Run, march, climb, jump, shoot, repeat! Good luck with the job, and my wife would like to know if you could get Jamie's autograph? Whoever that is!

Welcome from Tennessee! My wife enjoys time traveling shows with a Scottish flavor 😉 In fact, in my house I play second fiddle to your leading character as far as she’s concerned! Glad to have you here.

Welcome from PA. I’m a fairly recent import from the UK myself. I shoot all sorts of things, but the flintlocks are just about the most satisfying as far as firearms go.

Dare I ask your cap badge?

Welcome among us Thistle!

Welcome Stu from western Pennsylvania! I was also in the Army Infantry. Was retired after 14 years of service due to wounds suffered in Iraq. I can’t believe you work on my favorite show! That would be awesome! You need help or guidance or trying to source anything, I’m sure the guys on here and I am at your service.
