    Crud rings I believe cause a tight spot this is a loose spot. Second it's not my place to tear the guys barrel down. All I asked was if anybody had a similar problem. I obviously don't have as much experience as you I only go through 25lbs plus what I win.

    Hey bub it's not my barrel I have a new rice barrel and just want to know if that's a common problem . If I was rice barrels I think I would have wanted to see these other barrels. Don 't need cleaning advice . Between us we have well over 100 years experience. Poor service seems to get around.

    I'm concerned that I put out alot of money on a project gun.Against better judgement bought a rice(available) barrel rather than waiting on a GM barrel shot them for eons no problem. Have well over 5000 rounds through my.32 probably approaching 10000. Did recrown once. Now back to the issue...

    A .45 with your .65 grain load is plenty to kill any deer. A 50 gr load will kill a deer.60 grains in a .62 cal will kill a deer . See how your .65 grain load groups at 100yds. If it looks good go with it. Three inch group works. Smaller is better. Practicing is even better yet

    To save you some problems. Adjust the position of the appature so your sights are centered in the opening from a normal firing position. Next adjust the opening to where you just see a gray ball in your sight picture then back it off a tiny bit. Voila! Youthful vision again. Also works for...
