I’m replacing the front sight on my smoothbore. I have shortened the gun and now need to replace the sight. Before I solder the sight on I would like to attach it amd shoot the gun to be sure of positioning. How would you recommend doing that? I was thinking matbe a drop of super glue? Epoxy...

Fwiw, I use 3f in everything. My rifle 50 cal My zouave and my smoothbore I also use it to prime all my flints. Good luck with it Kevin

Once I settled on a working load, (80 gr 3f pillow ticking patch and .600 rb) I was ready to go! 50-60 yards and I hold my own with those rifled guns. Shot loads have been a little more difficult. For me smoothbore is the only way to go.
