    Olde thyme photos

Unsure which forum to post this in but... I want to have some photos taken of my wife, our dog, and myself that look like old photos. I have let my beard grow as long as it's ever been and I have a Confederate uniform to wear. My wife is willing to wear appropriate period correct clothing, and...

    20 percent more powder?

Yeah, thanks a lot. I was avoiding using the h word. Glad you cleared it right up. Appreciate it. I'm sure others on here make and use it.

    20 percent more powder?

No but the same question would apply.

    20 percent more powder?

I have heard, repeatedly, that "certain" powders, require 20% more, by volume, to get the same results as commercial powder. No problem in a long gun, but what about cap-n-ball revolvers. Will revolver champers hold 20% more. I have not yet tried any, nor have I tested a chamber to see if a load...

    Bullet molds

This bullet mold came with the cased 1851 Colt Navy I just bought. I've read that these molds are mostly for display and don't make good quality bullets or balls. Is that true? I believe I'll just buy some balls like I do all my other black powder guns.

    .31 caliber revolvers

I love the Remington but I won't be buying a new one for $400+. I don't want one of the Colts without a rammer. I'll see what turns up.

    .31 caliber revolvers

Limited by budget to reproduction guns, what is available? Any company reproducing, now or in recent past, any .31 caliber revolvers besides Colts? Not that I have a problem with Colts, actually prefer them, but wondering what might be available.

WANTED .31 or .36 caliber revolver wanted

    I now have a .36 cal 1851 Navy. Still looking for a .31 cal.

    My cap-n-ball revolvers

These all might be junk, but they're my junk. All are reproductions. Upper left, a laser engraved 1851 Navy, but in .44 caliber, below it my 1860 Colt Army, brass frame that I bought in 1973, upper center, the '51 Colt Navy in the case that I bought a couple of days ago, below it, a Remington...

My 50+ year old brass 1860 Colt

Will someone who knows where to look, and how to do it indicate on my pic what to look for to see the damage, please? Thanks.

    My first .36 revolver

I have started another thread about brass frame revolvers. This gun IS NOT brass. One of my .44s is. Some people will say brass frame guns are trash or wall hangers. Yes the pic(s) I posted are the gun and accessories that I bought. Here are a few more, since you asked. Bottom of barrel, pic...

My 50+ year old brass 1860 Colt

I shared these pics on a Facebook group and someone said the frame is already damaged. He says this pic shows the damage.

My 50+ year old brass 1860 Colt

This is the frame of my Italian repop 1860 Colt that I bought in 1973. It has been shot, always with light (15-18g loads) less than 100 times. I know that because I bought a bag of 100 round balls the same day I bought the gun and the bag is not empty yet. At my age, and because I have several...

    My first .36 revolver

Here's what my brass framed 1860 Colt looks like now. I am going to start another thread about it.

WANTED Colt Patterson and/or .31 revolver

I want a (reproduction) Colt Patterson and a .31 caliber cap-n-ball revolver. What have ye?

    My first .36 revolver

I certainly don't want to make this thread "go sideways" but comments have been made about brass framed revolvers so I'll say... The first cap-n-ball revolver I ever bought, and I still have it, is an 1860 Colt Army with a brass frame that I bought new in 1973. I bought the gun, round balls...

    My first .36 revolver

I have not seen a Japanese gun but when I was into bicycles I had Japanese and Chinese bikes. The difference in quality was easy to see.
