    New Mexico iron sights regulation.

To be honest I don’t like when the government bans me from doing anything. What dose the law say? No assault muzzleloaders to be used during muzzleloading season? If you don’t want to or don’t like to use a scope and want to hunt traditional then by all means do it. We need everyone we can get...

    Lock question for builders

If you end up using the lock the way it is, make sure you shift the flint over enough. I found if I center the flint in the jaws of the cock it will hit the barrel when the cock falls. I hope your build goes well. Be sure to post some pictures of it when you are finished 👍

    Tag #2 with flintlock

Nice. Were you sitting and he walked up, or did you walk up on him? Ether way 15 yards makes for the heart to pump a little faster!

    Lock question for builders

My most recent is a Kibler. It is the best handling, best shooting, and best looking of any that I have had. I would recommend them hands down. Worth every penny!

    Lock question for builders

I have a factory built pedersoli that has a lock that lines up like that. It operates and sparks fine. I have always just slid the flint over in it just a bit. I cannot remember what model it is off the top of my head. I will get a picture of it when I get off the road this week.

    Pedersoli

I feel that the USA has the ability to produce all the materials needed to run our country, it just needs to allow them to be produced and not sell or give them away to other countries.

    Browned the kibler smoothbore

I have some BC plumb brown, I used laurel mountan brown, I’m kinda scared to heat my lock and use the birch wood Casey’s. I’m more seared to take it apart , as it would be my first time.

    Browned the kibler smoothbore

Your lock looks great browned. I browned my Kibler except for the lock. I think I’ll have to give it a try after seeing how yours turned out.

    Aquisition of black powder

I wouldn’t want to anger my guns with pyrodex. Happy gun happy life! 90% of them wouldn’t even go off with it.

2nd and 3rd try at scrimshaw

Looks good. Keep it up! It is a challenging skill to master. I have been trying for a couple of years now. What are use using as a scribe? I’ve thought about buying some. I’ve just been using different needles, and a leather scratching tool. They tend to tire out the hand pretty quick.

New guy looking for some tips

I think the formula is for the amount of powder that will be burned before the projectile exits the muzzle. I thought it was quite interesting, I just wanted to get the numbers correct so that I could use it on other calibers to see what the results would come out to be.

    Christmas Gifts.

You put a lot of thought and effort into those! That is great!👍🏻 I bet they will cherish them forever.

New guy looking for some tips

Your formula has intrigued me, I have never seen this before. Question on how to use this formula for other calibers. After you have divided the caliber by two and you got the .25 then multiplied it by .25. Say the caliber was .40 and you divided it by 2 and got .20 would you multiply .20x.20 or...
