What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Ordered a .60 Lee ball mold today. Now I just need some lead. I ground a touchhole pick thinner so it fits the touchhole and spent the rest of the day wishing I was shooting.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

I shot today. Sort of. I was all excited to do some shooting today after a full days work on the cabin. As it was starting to get dark, I threw on my shooting bag, grabbed my smoothbore and walked to the back of the property. It started off with no spark. Repeated attempts of wiping the...

So I bought a fourth gun in two months…

I am done with wives but I am up to six flintlocks since this original post. Of course I have delusions of a couple more someday. It’s difficult being a West coast internet shopper. I’d love to go to a couple of the back East shows someday. We have shooting sticks. The East has art. :)

I have two of them and I’d love to have three. If a come across a .54 there would be a good chance I’d break out the checkbook! Maybe even a .50 I have been know to be impulsive.

    Smooth bores

I shoot my smoothbore more often than my rifles. Like three or four times more often. I think there is something about the challenge versus the simplicity that appeals to me. When I first started out, I had some very frustrating results and considered selling the gun and washing my hands of it...

I have an idea and wonder if it’s been done

I was surprised that 5-10 additional yards would destroy the pattern. Three shots of #6 and the board is almost blank!

I have an idea and wonder if it’s been done

Preliminary testing completed. First thing this morning I ran out ans dug a limit of razor clams and, when I got home, the clouds cleared and it was almost sunny for a second. I grabbed my smoothbore and decided to cobble together some cardboard and put this *B&$-Ch to a test! For whatever...

Never even heard of those places. But Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia and Portland are full of them.

    HOW RURAL IS RURAL?

This ^^^^ seems pretty nice. I suppose, if I had to, you could convince me. :) All of these places could contend with Heaven if it was on Earth. There are some fortunate people here! It’s humbling.
