Dude is spot on in his responses. For what it is worth.. A method I have used instead of shimming...and shimming I have done,and does work (don't do this unless you don't have another option) is to braze to head of arbor some brass..then braze some more to the front of arbor where barrel wedge...

Everyone, I just want to say thank you for the advice. I gave the barrel the scotchbrite treatment, followed by crown polishing with thumb and sandpaper. The rifle loads much smoother now. The attached pic is from three consecutive shots following the first fouling shot. Not too bad.

It is not a dirty bore I can assure you. Lead buildup...possible. sorry for low res photo...that is the best my scope can do. I will try the scotchbrite treatment tommorrow and will post results after I get a chance to shoot again. Thank you gents for the help.
