    Yes they are very handy. When we have power outs I get them out and use them in the house...... I use long lasting candles in them, in power outs. Mine are all from 35-40 yrs ago. He did a real nice job of making that. Dave

    Ramrod for .62 Cal Rifle

    Get a brass rod. I believe you can get a brass rod for some of the .69 smoothbores that were used in the Civil War. Check out "Northeast Trade co." he might have some. If they are .69 cal, you can turn the tulip end down. I use brass rods on all my muskets, and rifles that have/had them. Dave

    Custom short starter

    Why not just drill a hole thru the handle in an area that wont hinder its use, and attach the lanyard that way. You can also put a lupe for the short starter on your shooting/possibles bag. Dave
