    Damascus Barrel - Go/No Go

Comfortably_Numb, Is it possible for you to pm me? I tried to pm you but I am unable. I have some questions that I am hoping you can help me with and need some direction/advice on a project I am considering.

    Damascus Barrel - Go/No Go

Hey Boomstick...I did see one that was lined in a smaller gauge. I am hoping for a shooting condition gun, to keep it historically correct and to use in shoots that require original arms. The one I saw was an unspeakable hammer side by side with Damascus barrels, he was shooting skeet with...

    Damascus Barrel - Go/No Go

Where would you draw the line with pitting or roughness in the bore? I am looking for something that I can shoot...not just a wall hanger. Thanks in advance, Cory

    Damascus Barrel - Go/No Go

So, I am getting very interested in single and double barrel percussion and flintlock shotguns from the early to mid 1800's. Can anyone let me know what to look for when checking the bores of Damascus barrels? I tried to find photos online of what would be considered a go or no go when it comes...

    WANTED Someone Take My Money

Hey BigSkyRambler, Yea, that was a good deal, if it would have been a percussion gun I would have scooped it up. The Mortimer percussion shotguns seem hard to find. I would even consider a Gallyon like you had for sale a while back, seems I dropped the ball on that one too! Hope life has been...

    WANTED Someone Take My Money

Sold my Scout shotgun a while back and have been hunting for a Pedersoli Mortimer percussion shotgun. Anyone looking to part with one? If you have one and are willing to part with it, you would be number one in my book!

Big Thanks - No second place

The people on this forum never cease to amaze me. I was looking for information on pistol shooting and "No second place" reached out to me. He spent over an hour and a half on the phone with me, answering my questions and giving me advice. I think he would have talked with me for hours if I...

    Target Pistol

I could spend $1400 but looking more at an entry level type of pistol. Not looking to become the next world champion, more than likely just for fun with a little not so serious competition.

    Target Pistol

Needing some advice. I am looking to start pistol shooting at places like Friendship. Any advice on a percussion single shot pistol that would make a good target pistol?

    Proof/Maker Marks

Can anyone tell me what these barrel marks mean? It’s a 1974 Pedersoli SXS 12 gauge. Other than that I can’t figure out what the other marks mean. Are they choke markings or proofs? Thanks for any advice, Fez

    What's your favorite trap/skeet load?

Seems like 75 grains or 2 3/4 dram at 1 1/8 ounce of shot is a popular choice. I am thinking that matches up well with a modern load. I have a light weight Pedersoli side by side 12 gauge made in 1974 and looking for lighter loads or may have to add some weight to it...I am a wuss when it comes...

    What's your favorite trap/skeet load?

I have been using the same load for everything. 65gr 2f and 1 ounce 8 shot for 12 gauge. Kind of curious if others are using lighter charge.

    What's your favorite trap/skeet load?

Just curious to what everyone is using for loads when shooting trap/skeet/sporting clays.
