    Oils?

I retired from Kroger dairy. It bottled milk and made ice cream products. Sale date was on the carton that was set by standards of somebody (don't remember who). If kept at a good cold temperature milk could last easily 10 or more days past that date. Milk can be frozen then used , but they...

    Oils?

When I was working part-time for the Carmel parks I would drive by a farm that sold eggs. Many times I had a co-worker with me, a younger woman in her late 30's. I would stop and get 2 dozen eggs then put them in the back seat for the rest of the day she thought I was crazy for not putting them...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

God answered my prayers and it rained a 1inch of rain so only had to pick the vegetables in the garden. It was a good day to shoot. Got out my 50 cal TC Hawken rifle first black powder gun I bought around 1980. I take a cleaning patch and run it in and out several times then load up. I use...

hunters, how do you handle your deer once it is down?

Once a time beef had to hang in cooler for 3 days before butchered then sold. If I can I will hang my deer for 3 weeks or quarter it and put in cooler with ice for that long. Yes it makes it tender ,aging is the main thing to do.

    Real black powder

Even back in the 1970 and on black was not easy to find, rules for storing was reason. Wal-Mart and Kmart would put T-7 and Pyrodex on clearance in January, sometimes 2/3 off. Bought it all. Still got several cans left and using it, works just fine.

    Gardening 2023

That true, but most don't put down any late stuff till after leaves are gone. I never took any grass clippings for that reason. I always had a weed problem so if there was any in the leaves it didn't work.

    Gardening 2023

I use to drive around the my neighborhood and pick up the bags of leaves they would put out for trash pick up. Then let them sit in the bags all winter, then open them in the spring on the garden. I collected at least 100 large bags of leaves. Doing that still was a lot of work, but had a great...
