    Another name for #40 drill?

Damn it! I've looked at this post twice and keep thinking #40 drill bit...

Was Dutch right about wiping between shots?

I believe a lot of issues with patent breeches could be avoided with a proper cleaning to remove all preservation oil before the shooting starts. I have found a thorough cleaning before any shooting session, helps my T/C flintlock and its ability to shoot multiple shots. I clean with Dawn...

    Gun range lead concerns

Unfortunately, lead litigation doesn't surprise me. Since your in a liberal state (like me) you may have legitimate concerns depending on the county you live in and how far the complainant is willing to go. I live in a liberal state, however the county I live in is very conservative. We had a...

    North Star West says goodbye

So sad! I've spoke to Matt on the phone a time or two, he was certainly a good honest man. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. May he rest in peace!

    Buck vs Doe

I have never shot a doe, we had a very bad drought several years ago. As a result of the drought many deer got blue tongue disease and died a horrible death. The population was reduced and under the same theory kill a doe kill two deer for next year, I simply let the does pass by. The population...

    New Costner "Saga" movie; "Horizon"

I wasn't overly impressed, but certainly not the worst film Costner had been involved in...Waterworld takes that prize.

    IT'S FREE TARGET STAND SEASON

One of the two political parties used to drop off the signs at my house. I ended up with so many of the 4x8 signs that I lined my garage with them to help keep the insulation in place. Cut out around the outlets, circuit breaker box and windows. We used the larger 4x4 signs to make a paintball...

    I have a Problem

Is there enough EZ-out to weld a nut too? Changing the breech plug isn't too difficult, however finding one in the proper thread pitch might be difficult. Any competent gunsmith should be able to change the breechplug for you. I purchased the tools to do my own, but that would be rather costly...

Questions regarding an England and Scotland trip in 2025

Gentlemen, I'm not sure how the trip is going to happen at this point. Also, not certain if anyone happened to see my post on the "What did you do today?" thread. We recieved great news from our son and his wife, they are having a baby! However, the baby's arrival will be just a couple months...

    Gun building & Liability

Well written! Certainly more informative than my incoherent ramblings. Good idea, unfortunately it was the buyer who purchased the T/C Renegade used, who didn't have any paperwork (or instruction manual) that won the law suit.

    Gun building & Liability

Let me explain in a little more detail. The attorney knew the statement was a hypothetical, an "If, then" question if you will. I probably didn't word that well in my first post. I talked with him in detail regarding the T/C case where their barrel blew up when smokeless pistol powder (not...

    Gun building & Liability

LLC are not always the safety net they lead folks to believe. I was interested in buying a small mom n pop type gunshop / manufacturer that specialized in trade rifles, the owner and I came up with agreeable numbers. I consulted with an attorney friend and contacted an attorney in regards to the...

WITHDRAWN rectangular TC rear sight with notch wanted

Figure out what you need, if the folks above me don't have it, there is a slim chance I may have it. I purchased several T/C sights at a gunshow at the KC Hall, used some, sold some, not sure what I have left, but I can take a look if you come up short handed.

Is this Moroccan flintlock pistol authentic?

I'm no expert, I too like to collect pre 98's, but to me the dead give away is the lock sets on top of the wood. I would say its a souvenir.

where can i buy used black powder revolvers?

Auctions are a great place to buy used muzzleloaders, however the credibility can be all over the place. I have one auction house I trust, most others I won't bid unless I have inspected them myself. Simpsonltd.com stands behind the products they sell, though the price usually reflects it...
