Haha back to the original subject... Looks like a nice little kit, always been interested in a .32 muzzleloader! Powder sipper for sure.

    Traditions 24in flintlock deer hunter.

I started with one but never had much luck with it, it ate flints up in a couple shots. Stock was really light so I stuck a bunch of nails and Bondo in the butt of the stock. It balances really well now but still eats flints haha!

    2F For Everything?

I use 3f in everything from .36 to .62, main charge and priming. I just don't like keeping track of a separate priming flask. Only thing I really use 4f for these days is the inevitable dry ball, the 4f goes through the touch hole quite a bit easier.

Have Been Using A Different Approach Making Felt Wads.

I just cut out a bunch of wads, melt up a bunch of lube in a little quart pot and start adding wads until the lube is all soaked up. Dump it all out on some parchment paper and cool. I tried lubing the felt before cutting wads but I just made a mess and the beeswax was getting expensive... That...

Finally Tried Paper Cartridges in smoothbore......

All the videos I have seen where people have turned a caliber specific dowel for making the perfect cartridge, Mark is over here like "stick". This is why we love ya man! You ground us and show is the no nonsense way to enjoy the sport! Can't wait for next Sunday!

    Buckshot size for a 20ga?

So I know that 00 is the "happy" size for a 12ga as they stack nicely in the bore in groups of 3 but what is that size for a 20ga? I cast plenty of 00 for slingshot ammo but I don't really want to use them in the smoothbore as I feel like the shot column would be all kinds of wonky and...

    Father's day present

Yep! Watch some videos on it too, Duelist1954 has some I think. I did my .36 and some of my .50s and have been pretty happy with the results. Take your time and be sure to swab the bore and clean the tool every time you switch the sandpaper. I had best luck backing the sandpaper with double...

    My new Merrill Flintlock Smoothbore!

20ga (.62") and right around 7 pounds. I don't have a scale that measures accurately in that range but I know that my Kibler SMR is in that ballpark and they feel identical weightwise.

    My new Merrill Flintlock Smoothbore!

Iron nitrate, some sort of stain (don't recall the name) and finished with linspeed.

    My new Merrill Flintlock Smoothbore!

So far it shoots a dream! I'm still too excited to put it on a bench and pattern or sight it in, I'm just shooting it and having a great time.

    My new Merrill Flintlock Smoothbore!

Hey all, just wanted share with you my new smoothbore made by Jordan Merrill @Majormusket . It has a Rice barrel and a Kibler lock. The stock is hard and fairly straight grained maple completely shaped by hand, seriously, not a single power tool touched this thing from 15 pound stock blank to...
