I rescued a 1970s eibar spain 36 cal. the problem I have is I changed the nipple now when I fire it ,I'm a lefty, I get splatter from the cap. I looked at the lock hammer and it's hemi sperical on the striking surface. So should I just try to flatten the under side or grind a "little" cup like...

I'm lucky I live 50 miles from Graf &sons. they usually have house brand and schuetzen. last time 1 lb 4f 3 lbs 2f

I also ordered 5/8 flints from Deer Creek they're slimmer and fit perfectly. I don't think those rocks would fit in my Hawken.

my 45 cal was sooo bad I couldn't start the ramrod. smaller jag scotch brite ,hoppys, and a lot of elbow grease .barrel isn't perfect but 40 yds 2in groups. I think a perfect barrel is great but, if it isn't perfect and shoots consistent groups that's what you're after
