It was functioning very well with Remington #10s. Now suddenly the caps are getting jammed in the cylinder like with the old CCI caps. Do I need to keep it better lubed or new nipples? Thanks

I just watched a video where the guy wrapped the round ball in tow before ramming it down the bore, as opposed to loading the round ball on top of the tow. Was this common practice historically? Is it more accurate? Thanks

I'm 0 for 2 on shotguns I've ordered from GunBroker. With the first one the hammer was broke off and now this new one is no Bueno. What gives? Is GunBroker.com a bad source or did I just have bad luck?

I emailed a muzzleloading gunsmith. He said he could send me two complete locks for $200. He said they "should " fit directly onto my gun.

I already have one lock partly disassembled, except for the spring. They're both soaking in solvent until I get home from work. Thanks

I sprayed the locks with Blaster, hopefully it helps. It's all I have on hand right now. Thanks

The other side doesn't have a gap. The way it is now, I have to remove the tang to take the right lock plate off.

What's a good filler or epoxy for this gap? Thanks

I use #4 buck, but not for hunting. Paper punching.

There's a gap in the wood here, so the tang (flash guard?) rests against the lock plate. Not sure what to do about that, if anything.
