Ok I was thinking the chamber was really short.

I made a paper cartridge to get test how long to make them .750 base of bullet to beech face the bullet tail is .250 so I made paper 1 inch long the problem is I can only fix 40 grains of 2F powder. The question is should I use 3F powder because of smaller chamber size.

I have a chance to buy a kit one cheap. I think it would be fun to build and shoot.

I just got a newer unfired 54 caliber cap one newer made on I think it was a signature one.

I’m starting to get into it. Got a sharps 54 cal carbine and a 45 caliber sharps sporting. The 54 is easier to get paper cartridges kits for and they make some great molds too. I maybe not looking in the right place too.

I know of a 54 caliber that my friend want to sell me. It’s only a few years old unfired.
