$30 For Remington #10s The New Normal?

That's crazy, I feed my 9mm handguns for less than 30 cents a pop. Sadly if you have no caps but need them you have to pay their price. Last weekend at a local show I saw a guy with about 15 tins of Remington #11 he couldn't sell at $10 each. Guess it just depends are where you are. I didn't...

More from my late dad's safe...

When Dad died at 95 five and a half years ago I made up 2 photo display boards for his service, I did this by myself late at night on purpose. I cried some but it was a great release, all the pictures brought back a flood of great memories. He wasn't much on guns but I have his Winchester 20...

What would make you break out your wallet?

I feel your pain, I lost a big beautiful Ash that shaded my house and patio shooting bench a couple of years ago 😥 It broke my heart when the State Forester who certifies my tree farm status told me I had Ash borers. Back to opening up my wallet, I'm going to say a 100% English Parker-Hale...

    Wheel weight lead question

Will a fingernail scratch a zinc wheel weight? Would depend on the number of cars in the parking lot.

    Colt 1851 Navy—120 yards?

Judging by how the .36 buries it's self in wood at the 100 yard backstop I would say a towel at 120 shouldn't be a problem.

    Colt 1851 Navy—120 yards?

The shot could be accomplished with a bit of luck but dropping it to less than 100 makes it more probable. Look at a human an honest 120 yards away and you'll see the head is pretty small at that distance. I'm always amazed by movie pinpoint shots that exceed the accuracy potential of the...

    Wheel weight lead question

Take the free wheel weight lead stuff and then hit the garage try to buy the whole batch for a little better price and stash it away. BTW my local scrap dealer is only paying 14 cents a pound for wheel weights :thumb:. Clip-on wheel wheel weights are hardened with antimony and are great as is...

    Earliest rifled artillery?

I read that book about 40 years ago. I seem to remember that Krupp was somewhat odd in having his office over a stable because he liked the smell of horse manure 😵‍💫. Funny what you remember, or think you do😅

    Hummingbird

They are a wonder to actually hold. I've revived a couple I've in held in cupped hands and blown my warm breath on after they knocked themselves out on a window. A picture of me with one was published in "Birds and Blooms" magazine. Sadly I recently had a male that hit very hard, I rushed out...

This simple idea was and still is genius.

Very practical design in my book, strange looking to my eyes but practical.
