A Colonial with fancy maple furniture, you can get a new unfinished kit for $1345 plus the governors share, plus shipping. Then you will have to buy some finishing supplies and put in the sweat equity, Cut to the chase and buy the dang rifle, well worth it.

T/C Renegade: Another “damaged in shipment” story…

When I was making my way through college I worked for UPS, my job was unloading semi trailers filled to the top front to back, putting them on a conveyer. I would lose 10lbs a shift in sweat for $7.15 an hour plus the teamsters taking their greedy cut. From there they were routed and loaded...

T/C Renegade: Another “damaged in shipment” story…

YARRRR!!! That's exactly what I use, each time UPS ground has been the best rates, oddly enough UPS ground gets to it's destinations faster than paying extra for 3 day ground. Someone on this forum turned me on to it, I've used it ever since.

T/C Renegade: Another “damaged in shipment” story…

Man, that really sucks. I think I shipped at least 6 TC's, West, East and South. All I've broke down and wrapped each part with a real thick layer of bubble wrap, packed every bit of air space with more bubble wrap and sent them all using UPS Ground in a box that is 8x8x40 which is perfect. They...

    .58 TC Hawken

Some ppl love collecting TC's. That looks to be a rare one especially in flint. $2500 is way too high in my opinion, more like the crazy price. He might win big on GB but not 2.5 big. I still have my 58 Big Boar I bought brand new back in 93, I paid $300 something for it out of the Dixie...

Anyone here own exclusively muzzle loading firearms?

Well... since I lost all of my "firearms" in a terrible boating accident on Lake Michigan last year I have decided to make due with my muzzleloaders, throwing knives and hawks. In all honesty the Marine Corps taught me my mind is a weapon so watch out.

Historically accurate example of Flint, Full stock, hooked breech, barrel wedges?

My 40 cal SMR is a 1:48 Rice, my 54 cal Woodsrunner is a 1:70 GM. My Southern mountain is a year and a half old. My WR arrived at my house in April 2023.

Historically accurate example of Flint, Full stock, hooked breech, barrel wedges?

I agree completely with TDM's assessment. Kibler locks are tight and fast, the Kibler Woodsrunner comes with a Green Mountain 1:70 twist barrel giving superb accuracy with patched roundballs. These kits are a joy to put together giving you that personal satisfaction of doing something on your...
