Wow, yea that guy had no clue what he's talking about. Plenty of nicer 1816s that are full length on Gunbroker for a much better price, I would check there if you really want one.

Looks like it, didn't know that before. Lodgewood only charged $385 to defarb this gun.

You actually can confirm if it's unloaded, drop the ramrod down the barrel. If the ramrod bounces up with a pinging sound it's unloaded.

That makes sense, I can understand why you wouldn't set a fixed price now.

Doesn't have to pass the 1 foot test, I want it historically accurate without replacing any parts. Similar to one of these.

Walnut is uncommon on these Miroku guns from what I've heard. That's pretty crazy that you potentially have the 13th one ever made! Could I see some pictures of it?

The Pedersoli has the advantage of being stocked in walnut though.
