Well if you go buy a Pedersoli you just go and shoot it. With an original it's probably a good idea to take it to a gunsmith before shooting, and of course if the gunsmith tells you it isn't safe to shoot that sucks.

Maybe most people prefer to buy repros.

If you don't want to spend the close to $150 try an Indian made bayonet from Loyalist Arms (Stock unknown).

Dixie Gun Works has a bayonet that'll fit a 1795, it's listed as an 1816 conversion bayonet.

I saw, it's a nice gun, but I've already got a Pedersoli '61 Springfield. I'm interested in a .69 or .75 caliber flintlock smoothbore.
