Considerably nice, unconverted, and untouched example of a m1816 Type 1 Transitional musket by Marine T. Wickham. This is one of 5,000 muskets from Wickham’s 1822 contract. The “V/GF”is from George Flegel’s stamp who inspected the last of Wickham’s contract on April 29, 1823. The bore has a few spots of pitting but is very serviceable. The locks functions as it should, unfortunately the original ram rod has a few inches broken off of it. The stock retains it’s original inspection cartouches as described above, as well as a few interesting added inscriptions. On either side of the stock is a CT inside of a uniform circle, possibly a state militia marking? Included with this musket is an original bayonet! I have fired this musket and it functions flawlessly. $1600 or trades. Please pm me for inquiries.

I saw, it's a nice gun, but I've already got a Pedersoli '61 Springfield. I'm interested in a .69 or .75 caliber flintlock smoothbore.
I have an 1816 Harpers Ferry made by Springfield in 1834. It is the original flint - unconverted. I am looking for a bit more, say $2000. I have more pics and will add one with my name attached if you are interested
