You're welcome brother 👍. Sometimes ya just gotta work smarter, not harder. Plugging the touch hole on Sadie didn't work so good, some leakage. Those flush kits looked like they'd work pretty good. I don't consider it cheating when ya got a clean barrel, no boogered up pin holes, or water under...

It's considered unsporting here. At least that's how I was mentored. One thing if it's a matter of survival, then I guess you do what you gotta do.

Had a drill sergeant tell me once (yell actually), "if you ain't cheatin, you ain't trying! And if you get caught, you and tryin hard enough". Useful advice....maybe. Psychological warfare...... probably Adaptable in certain situations.... definitely!

Best way to get rifle up in deer stand?

I use a haul rope. A bit thicker than Paracord. I tie a loop to the end, and I have a spool of rubber coated wire that I attach further up near the barrel. I do haul muzzle up (unloaded). Same deal if I'm using my climber, I just trail the rope up. Once in position, cap her up and wait.

I wouldn't call it conceding ol Hoss, methinks it's more like adapting, overcoming. If it keeps you in the game, heck yeah, use the he!! outta them sticks. Carve a notch in it for every bushytail you drop.

    Pedersoli Blue Ridge Rifle Buck

Funny how when you squeeze the trigger or release an arrow, you feel like a kid again, but when it comes time to drag it out, all the sudden you feel 120. I've gotten to be fond of my deer cart on public, and my Yamaha of private. Great shot on a great buck!

    Just a doe

Great write up, great shot, and great deer. I can only hope my last one, will be as good as my first one when it comes to "that feeling".

    SOLD Elk Antler pan primer

We're all plugging along. Thanksgiving was good. Both kids were home. We made too much food as usual, so that means I ate too much. But, don't have to wonder what to eat for the next week or so. It wasn't nothing. When I found out you were just down the road, I just headed that way. Hope you...

Now that looks good Jim. Probably pretty close to a traditional Thanksgiving meal too, seeing how the ones who came before ate what they could hunt for the most part.

    Old guy camping

Phil, I gotta say you are living the dream most of us have had since we were little fellas still dropping our drawers to our ankles to pee outside. Hopefully you get to enjoy it for many more years.
