    Stubborn Stuck Bullet

Its like having a truck stuck in the mud. So you back another truck up and touch the bumpers. Now the truck in the lead starts to drive without a tow strap. Will the stuck truck follow?

    Stubborn Stuck Bullet

Forgive me but I don't understand the logic behind that. I worked for 35 years as a millwright. That line of thinking doesn't line up with my real world application. Not saying it won't but I would like to see that video.

A guy could also fill the barrel with salt water brine. in time the stuck object could just fall out.

The next option is to used a long drill bit and drill it out.

No even if it were a pin hole, the pressure will not increase enough to push it out. The hole in the zerk is tiny but the grease moves easily through it.

The grease gun is easier than removing a breech plug. Well unless you're shooting an inline.

None of this is aimed at you. You are just the one that is on the radar right now. I have been trying to get it through to guys that before the hole is through the object use the grease first. Its easier to clean the barrel than unscrew the plug. Most guys here would rather ruin the barrel than...

I'm afraid that it is not going to seal. I see that the hole is closed but that grease will push it open. If you could have got a patch shoved through the hole you might have had better luck.

I should just start a business. If you have a stuck object in your barrel send it to me. I will remove it for 100.00 bucks and send it back.

Is it new Sticky topic time?

Yes you did. The two threads should be combined and placed at the top. I have a 150 psi compressor. Yes I can remove a load at the end of the day to keep from shooting it. I have done it a hundred times. If I had just a dry ball, yes use the compressor, or co2 both will work fine. Some guys...

Is it new Sticky topic time?

Why not make the grease gun video a sticky to help guys find it before they get into bigger trouble with stuck items in their barrels?

    Stubborn Stuck Bullet

The biggest danger, and I tell guys on here all the time. If you put a hole through the stuck projectile now it becomes a big job. Here is what I would do. I would put a small pointed end on a rod and try to poke a patch through the hole. Then after you get some wadding on the fire side of the...

    Bulk lead source on line???

I order in 60 pound pigs. I have a very large dutch oven that I use to melt them down. I put the whole pig into the DO and melt it, flux it, and make it into pucks to fit my lee pot.

Ever shoot a stuck ball...what happened?

My guns are simply too valuable for me to shove I to a hole and hope for the best.

    Stuck Nipple

If heat doesn't work then it is applied wrong. You should never heat the nipple its self. You should heat the metal that the nipple goes into. Ideally the metal is heated fast and in a very concentrated spot, and that swells the metal. The nipple stays cooler so it stays in a smaller state.
