Can I switch to left handed shooting?

Been there and done that. Detatched right retina and only 20/500 after surgery. Either learn to shoot lefty, or miss all the time, or stop shooting. Yes to the comments about pellet rifles. A Daisy Red Rider is good enough for this and cheap at Tractor Supply. And .22 rimfire ammo is cheap. It...

    Gardening ..again

Very yes on the Mantis. If you are rural, check your small local paper in early spring. Likely find several guys advertising to do roto tilling.

When I received my swivel gun the contents of the package were listed as "garden art".

    Rifleman's knife

I am not sure what the point or purpose of a riflemans knife is. Backi in the day I might carry one, or two knives. One fo heavy work, such as building afire. Yet another more delicate one for preparing game and vegetables for the pot. Yet in my kitchen I have a carbon steel French knife with a...

    Rifleman's knife

I have several of Tallpine's knives and they are prized possessions. Got a special project in mind? He likes a challenge and he likes the unusual.

Fancy Wood - Making my own grips

Ever try your machine with bone? I have a collection of bone handled knives and would like bone grip panels on my 1911 unmentionable.

    WITHDRAWN Screw for Pedersoli Enfield

Rural here. The Ace Farm and Home store has a five foot tall by ten yards long stack of drawers of screws, nuts, bolts and obscure fasteners. No one would look twice if you walked the musket in and started trying to find the screw that fits. Probably would get a lot of help.

Antique (Replica) Cannon Info? Polish Coat of Arms - 23"

If you can figure out how to fire it from behind a tree fifty yards away........and there is no one else around for a mile or so? Go for it. Otherwise relegate it to doorstop status. I think firing it would be analogous to setting off a mystery pipe bomb found beside the road late New Years Day.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

She wants me to empty a small bedroom and make it my gunroom and library. Love it. But....might not be big enough! And begs the question of proper display for a Stokes mortar and swivel gun.

    Opinion on maple stock

I used quarter sawn sycamore for a kitchen counter. Planing and finishing brought about some very attractive chatoyance. Gave a wood counter some unusual interest.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

16 Year old girl behind the register at our Amish hardware store knows more about hardware than the entire staff at Home Depot. Plus she is polite and well spoken.

    Trade gun for grizzlies

Grizz runs at 35 MPH. Pretty sure you do not. I like grizz a little further away from me. Like maybe in the next state over.

    Longrifle sling?

I second this. The Crazy Crow sling is very good. And it is easily moved from one long gun to another. No swivel hardware needed.

    Osage Orange for ramrods?

I wonder how beech would work? I know it is used for tool handles and stringed instruments.

The fellow holding the gonne might need a dentist.

    Rust protection.

I like Ren Wax on the outsides of my guns. Use it on knives, wooden range box and various other places. But I am conflicted about using a wax on the guns' internals and bores. Sticking with petroleum based oil which has been effective for me for a long while. I think if you use a biological...
