    My first .36 revolver

You got a great deal, hope you enjoy it! Oh and no need to stay off the net, someone is always going to get their nose bent out of shape over something no matter what we do. Heck you can make the comment that the sky is blue and someone will angrily argue with you that it's azure........ Just...

    My New Pietta 1851 Navy

I've heard that the 49s are always a work in progress from day one, that's one reason I've never owned one.

    My New Pietta 1851 Navy

Figured out the problem and it's corrected (post #4). It's brand new via Dixie Gun Works. Also on Piettas the problem is usually a slightly longer arbor, Ubertis have the short arbor issue.

    My New Pietta 1851 Navy

A couple of guys I know who tune and custom work on cap & ball revolvers have already discovered the problem (on another forum). A burr on the hand where it contacts the ratchet and the hand is a little too long. I have mostly corrected it and it's functioning wonderfully now, might have to...

    Italian flintlock problems

Remove the broken spring, take pictures of it next to a ruler from different aspects. Contact Track via their online form with the pictures attached (if it allows you to attach images) and ask if they can recommend a sear spring that might work. Figure that if they have something you'll...

    My New Pietta 1851 Navy

Or as I'm lying and calling it my Griswold & Gunnison........ ;) From the start it wouldn't lock back in full cock half the time I pulled the hammer back unless I jerked it back hard. The weird thing was with the barrel removed it functioned correctly, put the barrel back on and it would...
